Terms of Service

Last updated: July 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of Meeru, the email client available at meeruchat.com and app.meeruchat.com. By creating an account or using Meeru you agree to these terms.

The service

Meeru presents your Gmail inbox as chat conversations. It connects to your Gmail account with your permission through Google's official API. Meeru is currently in private beta: features may change, break, or be removed, and access may be limited or revoked while we build.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Meeru.
  • You may disconnect Gmail or delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Meeru to:

  • Send spam, phishing, or otherwise unlawful or abusive email.
  • Violate Google's or Gmail's terms of service.
  • Probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or attempt to access other users' data.
  • Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.

Pricing

Meeru is free during the private beta. We plan to introduce paid plans at launch, with discounted founder pricing for beta users. We will give clear notice before anything becomes paid; you will never be charged silently.

AI features

AI-generated summaries and reply suggestions are provided as-is and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing anything before you send it.

Intellectual property

Meeru and its software, design, and branding belong to us. Your email and your content belong to you — these terms give us only the limited rights needed to operate the service for you (fetching, displaying, and sending email at your direction).

Disclaimers and liability

Meeru is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost data or missed email. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (during the free beta, that is zero).

Termination

You may stop using Meeru at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or endanger the service, and we may discontinue the beta with reasonable notice.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions? Contact hello@meeruchat.com.
